Digital X-rays

While traditional X-rays are considered safe, digital X-rays produce 80% less radiation. This means it is unlikely that you would develop any issues from occasional traditional radiation exposure. Still, it is even less likely with the process used in digital X-rays.

Dentists order oral x-rays to check out the health of your mouth, gums, and teeth. X-rays provide images of the interior of your mouth, aiding your dentist in identifying issues. They are as standard and crucial as your regular dental cleanings. Children, ageing individuals, and people with a history of poor oral health (i.e., gum disease) may need once-yearly dental x-rays.

Remember that any time you switch caregivers, your new dentist will want to start with a fresh set of X-rays. This is especially true if you’ve never had dental images taken before.

The dental cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is an advanced X-ray machine employed when standard dental or facial X-rays don’t suffice. An added benefit of CBCT is its reduced radiation exposure compared to traditional CT scans.

Say goodbye to messy dental impressions! The Trios® intraoral scanner from 3Shape® is one more way we ensure you have the best dental care. In the past, dental impressions necessitated taking a physical mould of your mouth, which was then forwarded to a lab to produce your crowns, devices, and clear aligners. However, that’s no longer the case.

The digital scans are much more accurate, environmentally friendly, and patient-friendly (no more gagging). Our dentists can monitor your oral health better, for example, gum recession and wearing down of teeth due to erosion and grinding.

Digital Photography

One or more digital photographs of your smile are taken at the Digital Smile Design(DSD) consultation and manipulated on-screen using a specially designed graphics program. Your direct feedback as the design develops allows us to create and refine the image of your ideal smile in front of your eyes. We take great care to show you only predictable results.
